Shipping & Delivery
Standard Shipping Policy
Your plant order will ship via FedEx Express with delivery in 2-3 business days* (This occurs after nursery processing time of 7-10 days during busy season)
USPS Priority Mail or UPS delivery for plant orders may be available to your location. Contact us for details. Additional charges may apply.
Dry goods (i.e., Pots, Fertilizer, Plant bags etc.) ships FedEx ground or USPS Priority with delivery in 3-7 business days*
Orders to Alaska, and Hawaii – please contact us for shipping requirements & rates.
*Delivery of your order may arrive from the carrier as early as 7am or as late as 9pm
*Delivery (transit times) is based on the day after your order is picked up by carrier.
*FedEx requires a valid phone number for all addressee
*If a shipment delay occurs you will be notified via phone or email.
*If you entered an incorrect shipping address, FedEx may charge an address correction fee, which will be charged to your account.
*Shipping address errors may affect the condition of the plant(s), Pond Plants of America will not be held liable if the health of the plant(s) is compromised by an incorrect address.
*Occasionally some dry goods can ship with your live plant order. Pond Plants of America will make that determination.
FedEx Express & USPS Priority Shipping
Plant orders are processed in 5-7 days and will ship the next available ship dates, (orders are processed in the order received). Standard ship dates are Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday (most zip codes) Thursday for select zip codes.
*The volume of orders received can fluctuate during the year, and shipping schedules can change. Changes to estimated ship dates will be posted on the website.
Second-Day
and Next Day Shipments
Sometimes you require the plants ASAP, please contact us as we will do everything possible to expedite an order, this will most likely increase your shipping rate.
Shipping charges will be calculated at checkout.
Shipping rates maybe be subject to change do to the following; but, not limited to the following irregular box size, rural delivery address, special circumstances etc.
Due to unpredictable weather & seasonal demands, plant availability may fluctuate.
We suggest pre-ordering all live plants. Pre-orders will be released in accordance with the climate zone where they are being shipped. This ensures plants will be healthy upon arrival. If an ordered plant becomes not available at the time of shipment, a "like plant" of equal or greater value will be offered as a substitute.

You may request to have your items shipped before your zone is ready or during times when shipments are being held due to high heat or unseasonable conditions with the understanding that you will waive any warranty for items that perish during shipment.
Plants are shipped in one of three ways: bare root (only root and little or no foliage), as a bunch (several stems or groupings of the plant), or in a net pot (with some foliage) Please note that all plants are shipped healthy with a strong root base.

Order Delivery
Please inspect your package immediately upon delivery - if you are missing item(s) or were shipped incorrect item(s) please email ppoa@gmail.com within 24 hours and include a photo of the plants you received.
Plants need to breathe after being closed in a box! Please unwrap the plastic and top cover of the shipping paper to expose the plants to fresh air immediately upon delivery. If unable to plant immediately, place the plants in water in a shaded area. Keep the shipping paper moist lay moist paper on top of the bare roots to keep the leaves from drying out. Please no longer than 48 hours! Your plants have had no fresh air or sunlight, if shipped with leaves they may fall off as a result. A plant potted in a timely-proper fashion will send out new stems quickly.
Your plants will perk up within days of being planted. Some plants will respond quicker than others. Please contact us and attach a photo to ppoa21@gmail.com if you have any concerns about your plants.
