Baumea rubiginosa 'Variegated' (Striped Rush)

This spiky grass with deep green blades streaked with gold, grows up to 1 1/2 feet tall with a 1-foot spread. Can handle shallow water to bogs and great for containers. Will grow in full sun to heavy shade.  An attractive rigidly upright-growing sedge-like plant from New Zealand, will produce dense clumps with 1/8-inch-wide needle-like leaves. If in shallow water, crown must be out of the water, will grow to up to 3' tall. Full sun to part shade, Zone 5 - 11
